Directive on On-Site Production Systems Published
About the Published Directive
In order to determine the requirements for the licensing of free radicals, chlorine dioxide, and ozone evaluated under the Biocidal Products Regulation, the following directives were previously issued:
- Basic Requirements for Licensing Disinfection Systems Using Ozone Produced On-Site with a Device, dated 07/05/2021, numbered E-19020089-020-2138
- Basic Requirements for Licensing Gas Chlorine Dioxide Produced On-Site from Precursor Materials, dated 25/05/2021, numbered E-19020089-020-2218
- Basic Requirements for Licensing Free Radicals Produced On-Site from Ambient Air or Water, dated 25/05/2021, numbered E-19020089-020-2219.
Guidance documents published by the European Commission on the subject have been reviewed, and based on these documents, the Directive on On-Site Production Systems has been created.
The directives dated 07/05/2021, numbered E-19020089-020-2138, dated 25/05/2021, numbered E-19020089-020-2218, and dated 25/05/2021, numbered E-19020089-020-2219 have been annulled. The licensing of products based on the principle of producing and using the active substance and/or biocidal product on-site will be carried out in accordance with the Directive on On-Site Production Systems, as per the directive dated 01/02/2022, numbered E-19020089-020-495.
The licensing of products based on the principle of producing and using active substances such as free radicals, ozone, etc., and/or biocidal products on-site will be conducted in accordance with the Directive on On-Site Production Systems.
