"Turkish Regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals (KKDIK Regulation)" was published by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change in the Official Gazette 30105 on June 23rd, 2017 with the aim of determining the requirements of preparing Safety Data Sheets for substances and mixtures.
Safety Data Sheets (commonly known as MSDS), available in Turkey, must be prepared by experts who have "Chemical Assessment Specialist Certification".
There are 16 main headings and 48 sub-headings in a Safety Data Sheet which are defined with the relevant Regulation No:29204. These sheets must be prepared in the target country's official language. With EPY Plus software, it is possible to print Safety Data Sheets in 35 different languages.
MSDS, which is the direct translation of English or different languages into the Turkish language, is not valid within the borders of Turkey.
In short, the Safety Data Sheets to be prepared for the substances and mixtures offered for sale in the Turkish market should be prepared in accordance with the KKDIK Regulation Annex-II by chemical assessment specialists.
