EU REACH COMPLIANCE SERVICES

One of the regulations of the European Union concerning chemical substances is REACH. The EU REACH Regulation came into effect on June 1, 2007. The purpose of this regulation is to regulate the processes of placing chemical substances on the European Union market and their use, with the aim of reducing their impact on human and environmental health.

According to the EU REACH Regulation, companies that manufacture more than one ton of a substance per year or introduce such a quantity into the European Union market are required to register the substance. The REACH Regulation covers substances manufactured or imported on their own or in mixtures, in quantities of one ton or more per year, and substances contained in articles in quantities of one ton or more per year that are planned to be placed on the market. However, monomer substances, substances subject to PRORD, and intermediate substances may fall under the scope of the REACH Regulation in some cases, so the regulation should be reviewed to determine the requirements.

Companies engaged in the manufacturing or import of chemicals in the European Union under the scope of EU REACH must register. Companies without legal personality in the European Union can complete their EU REACH registrations by appointing an only representative.

REACH Only Representatives manage the handling of pre-registration data, represent your company in the SIEF consortium after pre-registration, and provide safety data sheets. They also communicate with EU importers and relevant authorities, completing the registration, notification, and authorization processes for substances. Having all these processes handled by REACH Only Representatives facilitates the process of achieving REACH compliance.
