Ozum Ozbek earned her bachelor's degree in 2020 and her master's degree in 2023 from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Izmir Institute of Technology. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies, she specialized in the field of heterogeneous catalyst. During her undergraduate education, she studied for 7 months in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Slovak University of Technology as part of the Erasmus exchange program. In 2020, she completed business and management training at the International Business Management Institute, earning a mini-MBA certificate. She is proficient in advanced English and has a basic understanding of Spanish and German. In her free time, she enjoys painting and exploring different countries.

In 2017 and 2018, after completing internships in the petrochemical and paint sectors, she began her professional career in 2020 as a production engineer in the automotive paint industry. As a production engineer, she focused on managing and planning production activities, equipment and machine maintenance, and improving KPIs. Throughout her career, she obtained certifications in Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO:9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and IATF 16949.

In 2022, Ozum Ozbek started working as a Chemical Regulatory Consultant at CHEMLEG Consultancy Company. Initially, she worked on the translation of technical documents and the entry of files into the ministry system in the Registration and Translation unit. In February 2023, she obtained the Chemical Assessment Specialist certificate. From October 2023 onwards, she has been active in the Biocidal Products Unit, assisting in the preparation of necessary documents and supporting product licensing processes in accordance with current regulations.
