Özüm Özbek is a Chemical Engineer with a solid academic foundation and professional experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the İzmir Institute of Technology.
Since 2022, she has been working at CHEMLEG Consultancy as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, where she initially contributed to technical operations related to REACH-like regulations. Later, she transitioned to the Biocidal Products Division, supporting dossier preparation and authorization processes. During this period, she also earned certification as a Chemical Assessment Expert.
As of 2025, Özüm is based in the Netherlands, working as a Regulatory Affairs Consultant at CHEMLEG’s newly established EU office.
