After graduating from Plevne Anatolian High School, İlayda Çağlayan entered the Department of English Translation and Interpreting at Marmara University. She speaks English and Korean. During her student years, she received English Pedagogy training. She also participated in the CEVFOR (Applied Training in Sworn Translation) program. In addition to this, she participated in an international volunteer work camp within the scope of ESC (European Solidarity Movement), which was her first work experience. She later worked as a subtitle translator for international conferences. In her second year in the university, she attended the Sejong Hakdang Korean course and received education there for about two years. After graduating, she translated her first book and completed her master's degree in Publishing Management at Marmara University.
İlayda Çağlayan started working as a translator at Chemleg Consultancy shortly after graduation, providing support to her team in translating KKDIK texts from English to Turkish. She later began to take on tasks in editing translations as well. In this context, she undertook the pre-translation editing of relevant translation texts and ensured their planning. In the following periods, she gained the opportunity to experience technical translation team leadership, simultaneously performing tasks as a translator, pre-translation editor, and team leader.
While continuing her career at Chemleg Consultancy, she made a career change and started working as a Digital Marketing Specialist, taking on tasks such as content creation, advertising campaign management, and social media management. Currently, she continues to produce content for Chemleg Consultancy's website and social media accounts and works on digital marketing strategies. She is interested in web design in her spare time and aims to develop herself in this field as well.
