Gizem Küren

Resume

Gizem Kuren graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Bursa Technical University, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Architecture, and Engineering in 2020. During her undergraduate studies, she completed laboratory internships at the laboratory of a leading acrylic fiber manufacturer and in the Quality Control Department of a global food and beverage production company. As part of her thesis, she conducted comprehensive research on 'Biodiesel Production with Catalytic Membranes.' Throughout her university education, she actively participated in various social responsibility projects, aiming to contribute to societal welfare. In addition, in 2020, she gained experience by volunteering for translations in an online chemistry journal.

She began her professional career in 2020 at Chemleg Consultancy Company, joining the Technical Translation team for Turkish Regulation Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (KKDIK). From 2021 to 2023, she served as Team Leader, overseeing the translation of KKDIK dossiers from English to Turkish in accordance with terminology and managing tasks related to chemical registration. Currently, she actively holds the role of Chemical Legislation Consultant.

In 2022, she completed training in Chemical Assessment and earned the title of Chemical Assessment Specialist. In addition to advanced English proficiency, she has basic knowledge of Bulgarian and Russian. Thanks to language training, Gizem has significantly developed herself. Besides her expertise in chemistry, she is committed to continuous learning to enhance her overall knowledge and skills in various fields. In her free time, she enjoys reading books and creating art. She is married.
