Ceren CELIK has been working under Chemleg Consultancy since the year 2020. She is a Chemical Assessment Specialist (CAS) responsible for the registration and translation processes of Turkish REACH (KKDIK), as well as the management and activities of the Turkish REACH Technical Team. Additionally, she serves as a Chemical Regulatory Consultant on technical matters related to Turkish REACH, including the technical examination of Turkish REACH registration files and information requirements. Throughout her tenure at Chemleg, she has worked as the Turkish REACH Technical Team Leader, overseeing the registration files of numerous substances under Turkish REACH, gaining valuable experience and insights.

In the capacity of leading the Turkish adaptation project, she, along with a team member, undertook the translation of 25 ECHA guides published on the Chemicals Helpdesk website from English to Turkish between 2020 and 2021. Moreover, she assumed the role of leading the translation of the updated Data Sharing Guide into Turkish in the year 2023.

A chemical engineer by profession, she has been involved with REACH (KKDIK) and CLP (SEA) since her undergraduate thesis at Istanbul Technical University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and her master's degree in Polymer Science and Technology at the same university. She has been actively working in translation since 2011, accumulating extensive experience in the field. Ceren is highly proficient in both spoken and written English and has a basic understanding of written forms in other languages such as German and Spanish.

Aside from her professional pursuits, Ceren has a passion for nature, travel, cinema, and astrology. She holds a yellow-green belt in taekwondo and is skilled in playing the drums. She is married.
