Epy Plus SDS Preparation Solution becomes compliant with the new regulation (EU) 2020/878!

Regulation (EU) 2020/878 determines the content and format of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) circulating in EU countries and repeals Regulation (EU) 2015/830.

Annex II of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 has been replaced by the text in the annex to Regulation (EU) 2020/878.

Regulation (EU) 2020/878, which amends Annex II of the REACH Regulation, came into force on January 1, 2021.

According to Regulation (EU) 2020/878, existing SDSs may still be used until December 31, 2022, provided they comply with Regulation (EU) 2015/830.

Epy Plus provides its customers with regulatory changes through software updates throughout the year!

The important changes include:

  • Aligning the SDS with Revisions 6 and 7 of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
  • Adding the Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) to Section 1 of the SDS (mandatory only for unlabeled products).
  • Including specific requirements for substances in nanoform as introduced by Regulation (EU) 2018/1881.
  • Additional information requirements in relevant sections for substances and mixtures with endocrine-disrupting properties.
  • Presenting specific concentration limits, multiplication factors, and acute toxicity estimates determined under Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 in the SDS.

Epy Plus provides users with the latest legal requirements, so users do not have to follow regulatory changes themselves.
