"Communique on Treated Articles with Biocidal Products" was Published in Turkey

About the Published Communique

"Communiqué on Treated Articles with Biocidal Products, Number: 30420" was published by the Ministry of Health on 13.05.2018. The Communiqué covers products, that are treated with Biocidal Products, and claimed to have biocide specialty or biocidal function. However, it should be stated that the products, whose main function is to be Biocide, are evaluated within the scope of “Biocidal Products Regulation, No:27449”. The "Treated Articles" that are marketed in Turkey should fulfill the provisions that are included in the Turkish Treated Article Communique. The mandatories are indicated as follows;

- The Biocidal Products that are used to treat the articles should have been licensed or listed in the Inventory List in Turkey

- The fulfillment of the special labeling provisions within the scope of the Communiqué

- Preparing Technical Dossier for the Treated Article

- Proof of the biocidal function and shelf life of the "Treated Article" by analysis in competent laboratories

- The fulfillment of the provisions of the KKDIK for the ingredients that are contained in the "Treated Article"

It is mandatory to fulfill the above requirements for the products that are evaluated within the scope of Treated Articles if they are launched in Turkey.
