EPY Plus - Automatic Flash Point

With the EPY Plus Flash Point Module, the range containing flash point can be automatically identified. Based on this determination, relative flammability pictograms and hazard statements are obtained. This is an approximate calculation, taking into account the possible margin of error, in order to avoid any negative effects.

EPY Plus - VOC Calculation for USA and Canada

VOC calculations can be made for USA and Canada with the VOC Calculation module. Thanks to this module, it is possible to automatically calculate the VOC value for products sold in USA and Canada in accordance with the following regulations regarding architectural painting:

US Market: National Volatile Organic Compound Emission Standards for Architectural Coatings - 40 CFR Part 59, 1998
Canada Market: Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Concentration Limits for Architectural Coating Regulation SOR/2009-264

Starting from the formulation, the program is able to calculate the VOC value of both the product and the ready-to-use product (if diluted or catalyzed with another product available in EPY Plus).

Surely, volatile substances that are considered exempt according to the legislation are not included in this calculation. And the formulas used are those specified in the legislation. Therefore, they differ between paints with a low solids content and all other categories.

With this program, the category of the product, the calculated VOC value and all statements required for labeling can be reported in Section 15 of the SDS, according to the Categories list provided by the above-mentioned legislation. If the relevant fields are added to the layout, the same information can be given on the label.
