What is the Eco-label?

An Eco-label is a mark indicating that a product or service meets specific environmental standards.

It is a symbol created to represent a voluntary reward system, applied to products that, throughout their life cycle—including raw material sourcing, production, consumption, use, and end-of-life disposal—demonstrate lower environmental impact compared to others in the same product group. This symbol is used for products that have proven compliance with criteria determined according to their product group and have reduced environmental effects.

The right to use this logo is granted by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of Türkiye, based on voluntary applications and following an evaluation process. Companies must go through a specific procedure to obtain permission to use the label.
