Chemical regulations in Türkiye are largely aligned with the European framework; however, there are still important differences that need to be understood in order for companies to export substances and mixtures to this market safely and in compliance with local requirements.

A clear understanding of the regulatory framework in Türkiye is critical to avoid documentation errors, export delays, or market access issues.

Our General Manager, Elif Koç, regularly participates as a speaker at various events to provide further clarity on this regulatory framework. The GHS Türkiye webinar held on 22 April 2026 was one of these events.

During the webinar, an overview of the GHS system in Türkiye was presented, and the key differences compared to the European system were highlighted. A practical focus was given to topics that directly affect the preparation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels. With the contribution of Elif Koç, participants were also informed about the current status of Turkish chemical legislation, including KKDIK and SEA.
