Attention, the Use of the Substance Named Esbiothrin as an Active Ingredient Has Been Suspended!

With the European Commission Implementing Decision dated 28/01/2021 and numbered 2021/98/EU, published in the Official Journal of the European Union dated 29/01/2021 and numbered L31, which came into effect on 17/02/2021 and presented in Annex-1, the use of the active substance named Esbiothrin as an active ingredient in biocidal products of product type 18 has not been approved.

In line with the relevant decision, for the biocidal products of product type 18 containing the active substance named Esbiothrin that are licensed in our country, it has been decided to cancel the biocidal product licenses, to give time until 01/02/2022 for the manufacture, importation, and availability on the market of these products, and until 31/07/2022 for the use of the products held by users. Additionally, it has been decided that the biocidal product licenses should be returned to our Ministry as of 01/02/2022, as stated in the Directorate General Approval dated 11/08/2021 and numbered E-19020089-020-3226.
